The paper is done

My time is mostly my own again.  After some late nights and a few too many cups of coffee I finished and sent in my paper to the UCLA conference, so now all I have to do is wait two weeks to board a plane and read it.  I'm beginning to look forward to it.

While I'm in California I'm going to see Sarah, Jo, and Micah, so it's going to be an excellent trip!  I'm much more excited to see these wonderful women than I am to rub elbows with some scholars at a conference luncheon.  If only the rest of you lovely people could join us for an epic party (by which I really mean some mellow moments discussing the meaning of life on the beach at sunset in our jeans).  Now to find something to wear....  (Sarah, I'll try to make you proud.)
